Large research universities are major stakeholders in the physical security of the host municipality water management system. University hospitals district energy plants are only two examples of concentrated risk. Seasonal water patterns across the US map make it worthwhile revisiting the best practice that guide organizations away from disasters, or at least mitigate the effect of them. The challenges of our colleagues on the Pacific Coast of the United States over the past few days provides an immediate example.
