We have tried for several cycles to change the “Type of Occupancy” listing to reflect more granular definition for “School/university” and “Sports arena” lighting load calculations. We also continue to advocate reduced branch circuit power density design requirements for safety and economic reasons. We will have another chance in the 2029 NEC. Public input will be received until April 9, 2026.
