College and university campuses distribute electric energy in tranches of 5 to 500 megawatts; typically at voltages above 1000 VAC and are generally regarded as load-side services. We examine them during today’s colloquium on university-owned underground power distribution downstream from the merchant utility point of common coupling (service point).
