The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to David Julius (University of California San Francisco) and Ardem Patapoutian (Scripps Institute) “for their discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch”. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was announced at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.
