Campus safety staffs use radios and cell phones in normal and emergency conditions. These technologies can be rendered useless by congestion or damage. Good old Marconi radio technologies remain available although recently have piqued the interest of energy regulators seeking to dissemble the AM radio system because it may impede the rollout of autonomous electric vehicles in urban regions. It is fair to ask, “Why”?
