We keep a weather-eye out for research that might form the technical basis for an accredited consensus product that will be incorporated by reference into energy regulations. This paper proposes a method to obtain energy savings by adjusting HVAC set points based on occupant comfort measured using Predicted Mean Vote and occupancy information; not unrealistic given the gathering pace of building “things” connecting to the internet.
