Design, construction, operation and maintenance of environmental air systems is one of the largest cost centers in education facilities.  We find subtle tradeoffs between fire safety, energy conservation and indoor air quality goals.  Public comment on the Second Draft of the 2027 Revision will be received through NFPA’s revision procedure until March 31, 2026.
