Before it all went down, a proposal for an international laboratory safety standard whistled across our radar in late 2019. Given the ambitions of United States university-affiliated research laboratories we responded to ANSI’s public consultation with an acknowledgement of the worthiness of the project proposed by the Standards Administration of China as Global Secretariat. Much has changed in the fullness of time.
