“Ribollita” is a winter comfort delicacy made of anything lying around half-eaten; symbolizing Tuscan resourcefulness and tradition. In Netherland college towns it would be called “Dutch Student Stew” (with canned pineapple). In America it might be called “Slumgullion” or “Garbage Pail”, but because the Italian word means “reboiled” and comes from Tuscany it morphs into a delicacy.
