Time is the most measured quantity on earth. The National Institute of Standards and Technology maintains the standards for time and frequency for most users in the United States; among them education communities that use coordinated time to guide all dimensions of academic activity. The signals are broadcast via several mediums, including high and low frequency radio, the Internet and telephone lines.
