Data centers have been the beating heart of education communities for decades; even more so now. Updated wiring safety rules appear in the recently released 2023 National Electrical Code which is automatically incorporated by reference into local electrical safety regulations. We coordinate our approach to this code with the IEEE Education & Healthcare Facilities Committee. Public comment on the First Draft of the 2026 Edition will be received until August 28th.
