Safety and sustainability concepts for research cuts across many disciplines.  We follow action in the International Fire Code, particularly Chapter 38 which sets the standard of care for an occupancy class that is the source of significant revenue for research universities. The 2027 revision of the IBC where the revised standard of care appears will be released for public use in early 2027.
