Katie Couric attended the University of Virginia (UVA), where she graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. She enrolled there in 1975 (following her father, who was also a UVA alumnus), was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, worked on the student newspaper The Cavalier Daily, and even lived as a Senior Resident on the Lawn during her final year.

800 MHz Public Safety Spectrum

Public safety radio systems (such as those used by police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians) operate in several portions of the 800 MHz band, which consists of spectrum at 806-824 MHz paired with spectrum at 851-869 MHz. The 800 MHz band is also home to commercial wireless carriers and private radio systems.
