“The Country School” | Winslow Homer

Occasionally we break form from the regular run of our daily business — identifying 9 to 18 public commenting opportunities (per day) that affect #TotalCostofOwnership of the emergent #SmartCampus — to reflect upon the global standards system.   Our young people provide a fresh set of eyes every year when they submit papers to the ANSI’s Committee on Education.  which awards signficant cash prizes to students and/or teams.

It is not too soon for students to begin preparing draft papers for next year’s topic:

How Do Standards Help Mitigate Disaster?

The deadline for the 2019 awards is April 30, 2019.   You may communicate directly with Lisa Rajchel, the committee Secretariat at

Standards Michigan is online every day at 11 AM Eastern working through streams of technical specifics but we are happy to provide guidance to students and faculty at all levels to understand our business model advocating the emergent #SmartCampus.  Hint: we have on our hands what scholars call a “wicked problem“.   (See our ABOUT) Students who are interested in understanding wicked problems — and writing about them —  are welcomed to “click in”.  Use the login credentials at the upper right of our home page.
