National Electrical Definitions
Starting with the 2023 Edition, all of the technical definitions that were distributed across 9 chapters, nearly 900 articles and agreed upon by nearly 200-odd experts, will be relocated to a single (Article 100) and adjudicated by 12 experts. Results of the Second Draft Meetings, which we attended in Redondo Beach California last week, now enter the NITMAM stage of the NFPA code development process. Public consultation closes April 18th.

Current Issues & Recent Research
We examine the proposals for the 2028 National Electrical Safety Code; including our own. Public comment on proposed changes will be received until March 24th. The 2026 National Electrical Code which has recently been released for public use (public input on the 2029 revision will be received until April 9, 2026).
