Christ the King Chapel

Christendom College’s Christ the King Chapel in Front Royal, Virginia, was dedicated on April 15, 2023, after a $30 million, four-year construction project. Designed in Gothic Revival style by O’Brien & Keane, the chapel features a 114-foot crossing tower, two bell towers, and 114 stained-glass windows. Built to accommodate a growing student body of over 500, it replaced a smaller 1995 chapel. The cornerstone, blessed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2008, adorns the façade. With a 2,825-pipe organ and sacred art, the chapel embodies the college’s mission to “restore all things in Christ.”
