Dia de los Muertos 2025

Established in 1896 as San Fernando Union High School, it is one of the oldest high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District which serves over 400,000 students in 784 buildings; the second largest school district in the USA after New York City. The school has a rich legacy in athletics—winning back-to-back City football titles in 1974-1975—and alumni like musician Ritchie Valens and boxer Bobby Chacon. Its auditorium honors Cesar Chavez, dedicated in 2000.
