Agricultural Research Essential Works

The farm cultivates more than crops. A university farm puts young men and young women together doing consequential work: tending animals, maintaining equipment, collecting data, solving problems, getting dirty, showing up early and depending upon one another. Those circumstances allow character to become visible in ways a classroom sometimes does not.
