Daviess County Bourbon
The heart of the University bourbon research facility is the distillery itself. It consists of various buildings and equipment for mashing, fermentation, distillation, and aging. The distillery houses the stills, mash tuns, fermenters, and barrels for aging. Warehouses: Bourbon requires aging in oak barrels, so warehouses are crucial for storing and maturing the spirit. These buildings provide the ideal environment for the bourbon to age properly. They need to be temperature-controlled and have proper ventilation to facilitate the aging process.
