“…you shall above all things be glad and  young
For if you’re glad and young,
whatever life you wear it will become you;
and if you are glad whatever’s living
will yourself become…”

    2026 NFPA 70 CMP-15 Recap

    The first integrated circuit (IC) was invented by Jack Kilby at Texas Instruments in 1958. Kilby’s invention laid the foundation for modern microelectronics. He was awarded the patent for the integrated circuit in 1961. His work was independently pursued by Robert Noyce at Fairchild Semiconductor, who also developed his own version of the integrated circuit around the same time. Noyce’s design eventually became the basis for the integrated circuits we commonly use today.

    Jack Kilby was awarded the patent for the integrated circuit on February 6, 1962.

We’re “organized” but not too organized; like the bookseller who knows where every book can be found.
