Vacation Bible School

There are no mandatory government standards for children's Bible schools (like Sunday schools or church programs) primarily due to the U.S. First Amendment.  These programs are extracurricular and parent/church-driven, not compulsory public schooling. Government oversight risks favoring one faith or suppressing others, violating neutrality. Churches and families set their own standards to preserve religious liberty. Voluntary private accreditations exist for formal Christian schools, but informal Bible classes remain unregulated to safeguard parental and congregational autonomy.  Today we explore the essential local facility standards that ensure safety.
