LIVE: Radio Machias 91.1

As a student run radio station, the focus of WUMM is to serve the musical interests of UMM students through a broadcasting radio station. Spring of 1997 saw the creation of WUMM with a signal strength of 1-watt and a listening range of just one mile from campus, with the station being located in Kimball Hall. In 2016 the FCC granted WUMM’s request to expand to 150-watts; this was followed by the construction of a new 50 foot tower and the installations of new bays. WUMM moved once again in October of 2016 with a new home in the Reynolds Center.
