The King's College Choir was established in 1441 by King Henry VI. Its primary purpose was to provide sacred music for the College's Chapel. Throughout the years, it has flourished under the direction of eminent musicians, gaining global acclaim for its ethereal sound and traditional carol services, especially the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols broadcast worldwide on Christmas Eve.
