August Sabbatical

We observe academia’s summer hiatus until August 19th when we resume our daily 15:00 sessions on the topic of Data Center standards, regulations and codes. The front desk at our State Street Office will remain open but our daily colloquia will be replaced with “Evergreen” content dating back to 1993. See our CALENDAR.

Some jankiness in presentation will likely persist until early September as we upgrade PHP versions, widgets, and plug-ins to the latest versions of WordPress and Python. Content updates across all our platforms remains unresolved; described in the link below:

Ruth 1 | King James Version

Written by William Walsham How in 1871 for the Church Hymns collection, this Christian standard is a celebration of God’s creation and love, set to the tune “Ruth” by Samuel Smith (1865). How, an Anglican bishop known for his pastoral work, crafted the hymn to reflect the joy of summer, with its vibrant imagery of glowing suns, flowing light, and nature’s voices uniting in praise.

The hymn’s four stanzas emphasize God’s mercy, eternal love, and guidance through life’s challenges, urging steadfast faith even in dark times. Its meaning centers on gratitude for divine providence, the beauty of creation, and trust in God’s presence, with the final stanza affirming hope in eternal light.

Published in over 239 hymnals, it remains a cherished expression of summer’s warmth and spiritual reassurance.

In terms of total spend, the US elementary and secondary school industry is about twice the size of the higher education industry according to IBISWorld. About $100 billion is in play every year for both (which we cover during our Ædificare colloquia); with higher education spending only half of what elementary and secondary school systems spend on facilities.

Note that some districts are including construction for faculty housing.

Our focus remains on applying global standard to create educational settlements that are safer, simpler, lower-cost and longer-lasting — not on the hurly-burly of local school bond elections. We recommend consulting the coverage in American School & University for more detailed and more timely information.

Abstract: Information asymmetry exists amongst stakeholders in the current food supply chain. Lack of standardization in data format, lack of regulations, and siloed, legacy information systems exasperate the problem. Global agriculture trade is increasing creating a greater need for traceability in the global supply chain. This paper introduces Harvest Network, a theoretical end-to-end, vis a vie “farm-to-fork”, food traceability application integrating the Ethereum blockchain and IoT devices exchanging GS1 message standards. The goal is to create a distributed ledger accessible for all stakeholders in the supply chain. Our design effort creates a basic framework (artefact) for building a prototype or simulation using existing technologies and protocols [1]. The next step is for industry practitioners and researchers to apply AGILE methods for creating working prototypes and advanced projects that bring about greater transparency.
